Insight Communications Framework

A three-step approach to improving the influence and impact of your insight.

Stage #1 Strategic Formulation

Scope: What is the objective and time horizon of the project and what are the key messages you want to convey?

Audience: Who are the primary and secondary target audiences and what is the action you want each audience to take?

Medium: What distribution do you have access to and what are your preferred formats (and why)?

Measurement: How will we measure impact and what does a good outcome look like?

Stage #2 Creative Development

The Medium(s): How will we communicate insight? Explore animated explainers, infographics, workshops and many more engaging methods.

The Message(s): How will the insight reach decision-makers? Make insights resonate with regular pulses, customer perspectives and more.

Stage #3 Execution & Measurement

Production: We provide production, order management and distribution support.

Reporting: We assist in measurement and impact instrument calibration, providing reporting summaries and project advocacy.

This stage is typically the most collaborative - driven by internal channel access, organisational capabilities, support requirements and project objectives

Previous Work

Debt InsightsWe presented the insight from a project on business debt communications in a compelling, memorable manner, which would stimulate an empathetic response to influence more effective communication design. 

We created debrief invitation letters that utilised the same tactics customers expressed frustration with. Letters were distributed to meeting attendees in advance of the debrief, and supporting customer videos were produced to put a face to the insight contained in.

The ExplainerA creative campaign that explained the benefits of an InsightHub Community to operational and financial decision-makers. Video was identified as an effective creative output, supported by intranet and office screen distribution channels. Two shortform animated explainer videos connecting operational interests to community benefits.

Method AdvocacyGenerated support and the adoption of a new methodological innovation, capable of reducing time to implementation. We identified infographics distributed by email and hosted on high-traffic intranet pages as a critical channels which had capacity for managing high information density. A set of explanatory infographics and carousel style PDFs were produced to support methodology adoption. The project won an internal award.

Introducing our Insight Communications Practice Lead

Chris Martin is a strategic marketer and former Forbes Agency Council member with hands-on experience of growing profitable businesses, building cross functional teams and developing successful strategies. His experience advising our clients and cultivating the FlexMR brand is invaluable to the success of Insights Communications.

Chris has been pivotal in the delivery of FlexMR’s extensive high-impact communications for a range of businesses, as well as the award-winning Insight as Art campaign that has been recognised by the Global Digital Excellence Awards and the AURA Awards.

Leading the Communications Practice, Chris will utilise his experience to support teams through a wide range of formats and channels, including creative debriefs, films and explainers, podcasts, infographics, internal campaigns, workshops and emails.

Do insight communications require an InsightHub licence?

Is there a contract commitment?

The Insight Communications Practice can apply to a one-off project or function as an annual retainer.
